Prof. Ekanem is on the editorial boards of a number of Journals. He has supervised many students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, having also served as the Postgraduate Coordinator of the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo from 2014 to 2018, and the Vice-Dean of Students between 2017 and 2020. From 2020 till date, Prof. Ekanem serves as the Dean of Students of University of Uyo.
